Avoid chaos when students work in groups

In this blog post, Kristina Doubet of James Madison University and education consultant Jessica Hockett share five tips to help teachers make students’ group work more manageable. They suggest setting clear expectations and goals, have students work to produce something, lettings students monitor deadlines and noise, incorporating community-building activities and showing what successful interactions look like.
